Nancy Kaufman’s K-SLP Seminars are Scheduled for Two Michigan Locations
Nancy’s travels usually take her far and wide but this fall she is excited to stick a little closer to home. Two of her Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol seminars are scheduled in Michigan.
“Children Who Struggle To Speak: Evidence-Based Treatment Techniques for Children with Apraxia of Speech” will be offered in Grand Rapids on October 28 and Livonia on November 4. Nancy’s seminars are presented by Northern Speech Services, which is headquartered in Michigan. Click below for more information and to register for the events.
Focused on evaluation and treatment, Nancy’s seminars provide strategies to help children with apraxia of speech begin progressing immediately from a simple core vocabulary toward phrases and eventually to sentences and even conversational speech. Introduced are the key concepts of phonemic simplification, successive word approximations and pivot syllables, and how treatment interventions derived from these concepts have proven highly effective in increasing speech intelligibility for children with apraxia of speech and other speech sound disorders.
Functional and focused on interventions, actual treatment session video clips appear early and often throughout the lecture. The easy-to-incorporate methods, strategies and techniques presented will provide clinicians with the necessary tools to help children with apraxia of speech begin progressing immediately from a simple core vocabulary toward phrases and eventually to sentences and even conversational speech.
